  • Three new Electronic Eclipse Phase Releases Coming July 28th!

    Posthuman Studios has three kick-ass Eclipse Phase titles coming your way as PDFs on Wednesday, July 28th: NPC File 1: Prime, the highly-anticipated Sunward: The Inner System, and the Sunward Hack Pack!

    NPC File 1: Prime

    An electronic exclusive, NPC File 1: Prime presents over thirty original NPCs and some additional variants with a description and full stats; ready for use as opposition or player characters. Two files are included: One with all the NPCs in a typical layout format, and a second with half-page character sheets for each NPC. NPC File 1: Prime will be $5 and is Creative Commons (BY-NC-SA) licensed.

    Sunward: The Inner System

    Eight days before its debut at Gen Con (yes, there will be a Sunward ... well, many Sunwards ... at Gen Con!), you'll be able to get your hands on the electronic version of Sunward! Sunward details the inner part of the solar system:
    • Can you take the heat? Find out on Mercury, the Vulcanoids, or dive into the sun's corona with the Solarians
    • A new star is rising on Venus, join in the intrigue as the Morningstar Constellation maneuvers for influence.
    • Return to the cradle of transhumanity and explore the blasted, but not quite abandoned, ruins of Earth.
    • Keepers of many of our cultural traditions, the Lunar-Lagrange Alliance stands watch over our shattered homeworld.
    • A red storm is rising on Mars as the traditional masters of the red planet face an upswell of Barsoomian patriotism.
    • The silent masters of the inner system, the Planetary Consortium, reach out to touch all with a velvet glove.
    • Plus new Morphs, gear, and sample characters.
    Sunward will be a 192 page PDF (with layers, a hyperlinked Table of Contents, a hyperlinked index, and internal hyperlinks) and will sell for $10. Sunward is Creative Commons (BY-NC-SA) licensed.

    Sunward Hack Pack

    The Sunward Hack Pack includes the Sunward PDF and the following:
    • Sunward Cover art and chapter-opening artwork as 150DPI images.
    • Print-friendlier version of the Inner System Map, and Adobe Illustrator files for the original and modified map.

    All you need to make your own contribution to the Inner System—Creative Commons (BY-NC-SA) licensed!

    Eclipse Phase is in stock on Amazon.com again! -- after less than a day back on the site, our sales rank is looking rather nice: #17,693 in Books and #35 in Books > Science Fiction & Fantasy (Beyond a ton of D&D and Pathfinder stuff ... not bad company to be in, really!)

    Posthuman Studios is pleased to announce that the reprint of Eclipse Phase is working its way into game stores and chain bookstores. We are working with our new publishing partners, Sandstorm Productions, to get more product to you as soon as possible! We are following up the Eclipse Phase core book reprint with the Eclipse Phase Gamemaster Pack, and later this summer you'll see Sunward: The Inner System, our first sourcebook.

    Eclipse Phase has garnered great reviews, critical praise, and fired up the imagination of all who have read it. Demand has been high since it went out of stock earlier this year, and we are very excited to make it available again -- but this is not the "second printing" we thought would happen. Without going into gory details, instead of the second printing with corrections coming off the presses ... an exact duplicate of the first printing was produced by our previous publisher. We didn't learn of this until after all the books were printed and shipping to the USA.

    We regret this situation -- we always want to improve our books with each printing -- but we know that Eclipse Phase is a strong game and the first printing of the core rulebook was very solid. Please give your local store a call (or an email, or a facebook message however you talk to your store, do it!) and let them know it's back in stock! Eclipse Phase's stock number is PS+21000, and retailers can order it from Alliance, ACD or other great distributors.

  • Eclipse Phase Fiction In New Formats

    Ebook readers are gaining in popularity, and we want to bring Eclipse Phase fiction to them. Whether you have a Kindle (or use the Kindle app for your phone/computer or an iPad or a Sony reader, or almost any other e-ink reader ... we should have you covered here. But, this is a bit of an experiment for us, and we've already discovered some hitches in the Amazon Kindle service. Namely, it tries to charge international customers two dollars more than customers in the USA. A $2 price increase on a a $0.99 title is obscene! So, with that in mind:

    Our first standalone fiction release is Lack; this is the fiction that is in the Eclipse Phase core rulebook. If you already have the core rulebook, you already have it. And, of course, it's still Creative Commons licensed, and the Kindle release does not use DRM.
