SCUM on Kickstarter — Sept 16th!

A week until Eclipse Phase: SCUM launches on Kickstarter . Nerve-wracking and thrilling at the same time. It’s been a whirlwind two years of crunchy game dev, no-brainer artistic decisions (“Should the Neo-Pig criminal broker have a pompadour?” “Of course he should!”), and our usual injections of narrative flair (what other board game offers threat cards like Mass Basilisk Hack or Polycule Breakup Crisis?).

If you haven’t followed the Kickstarter page yet, we would really appreciate your support. The larger the number, the friendlier the algorithm on launch day. As most of you probably already know, the first 24 hours of a crowdfunding campaign are critical to its success, so if you are planning on supporting us, an early backing would be amazing.

SCUM Character Pack

We have a little free treat for all Eclipse Phase players — the SCUM Character Pack for Eclipse Phase Second Edition featuring all six playable characters (Berk, Killjoy, Pivo, Poly Genic, Qi, and Zym Riz), from the Eclipse Phase: SCUM board game plus scum fixers Elis and Pompadour Pig.

The Scum Must Die!

Our reward tier The Scum Must Die! will include not only the SCUM board game but a brand new 24-page Adventure Framework titled— you guessed it— The Scum Must Die!

The adventure framework is based on the narrative of the board game: an investigative romp through a Scum swarm loaded with vibrant and shady NPCs, very lethal pillars of conflict, and all of it leading to a showdown with the mastermind behind the conspiracy to obliterate the entire swarm from the solar system.

But … we aren’t going to hold your hand through this one: There will be multiple potential masterminds (just like the board game) and how your players move through the scenario will determine who they will ultimately face down!
