Online EP2 Character Sheet

https://arokha.com/eclipsehelper/#/sheet

So I made this. I'm sure it has bugs, I have no idea what I'm doing, so, you know.

FYI it will do d100 rolls for you if you click the skill totals or aptitude totals (taking into account wounds and trauma). If you have ware that lets you ignore wounds, you'll have to math that yourself (it does let you know what it took into account and what the original target was, in the roll history log, though).

It does it's best to find things in the book data based on Name, like if you type 'Stunner' in as the name of your ranged weapon, it will prepopulate all the data for Stunner, and provide a little info button next to it for a full description. Same for any of the book data (except Morphs, so far). So, items, traits, wares, skills, armor, weapons, and sleights do that.

Only thing I think the sheet is missing is spots for bots/vehicles. I'll do those soonish...

The import/export thing should be okayish? Enough to let you share things with your GM or whatever, probably.

Tweaked some stuff, does

Tweaked some stuff, does vehicles and now you can click 'Add to Character' on the full description of any of the gear under Data-Gear

I like that the gear section

I like that the gear section in the character sheet lets you mark if you own the blueprint for a piece of gear! But that got me thinking: would there be a way to list what *kind* of blueprint you have? As far as I can tell there are four types of blueprints worth keeping track of:

Limited-use blueprints: Can only have one copy of the item at a time. Can't be shared. Can be used in the inner system.

Multi-use blueprints: Can have as many copies as you want. Can't be shared. Can be used in the inner system.

Open-source blueprint: Can have as many copies as you want. Can be shared. Probably can't be used in the inner system. May be illegal in the inner system.

Cracked blueprint: Can have as many copies as you want. Can be shared. Can be used in the inner system. DEFINITELY illegal in the inner system.

There's also single-use blueprints, but they're probably not worth including as a category since they delete themselves after one use. And if you want to keep one around to crack it, you can just mark it as its own item.

Anyways, thanks again for making this!

Blueprints

Sorry, I haven't been checking this thread! I just implemented what you requested, so now clicking cycles between the 5 states (the 5th being 'no blueprint). Added a tooltip to clarify what each icon means as you cycle through.

cool, thanks so much! :)

oh, I just thought of another

oh, I just thought of another thing: Would it be possible for the favors in the reputation section to be check boxes instead of numbers? Since you have a fixed number of favors available, just being able to check one off when you've used it seems easier (similar to how the paper character sheets work)

Rep Checkboxes

I'd kinda like to, but browsers seem to impose a minimum size on checkboxes (I can make them bigger, but not any smaller than a sort of 'normal' size). But that size isn't very small and they look rather clunky. Maybe I'm doing something wrong though? Or maybe the UI library I'm using (fomantic-ui) has styles that are fighting me on checkboxes.

Plus, the way the character object has favors is as a number 'used' for each level, so I'd have to do some shenanigans to 'count' how many checkboxes are checked and set that on the character object, and when loading, try to check that many boxes, etc. Technically doable, but kinda janky.

I could rewrite how the character object saves them and do minfavor1: false, minfavor2: false, etc, but then people who have already saved/exported characters have different stuff in their save/exports that don't match the current format.

I could fix that, too, because I added a 'version' to the character object that gets exported and I could write a version conversion thing to handle that too... but...

Overall it's a lot of work and I'm not super familiar with how to do each of the things for not a huge gain. I won't rule it out, but probably not tonight. The site has a github page though... recruit someone to do it that knows more than I do, heh

Print out version

Do you think it would be possible to implement a print out version?
I didn't look at the code yet, but I think there are ways to make it work, but I cannot tell if it is worth it.

What are your thoughts on that?

This message was written under regard of netiquette, correctness and if need arose kindness.
Thank you for your time

What are the chances that

What are the chances that this character record will be able to be printed as a standard sheet or have the contents output to a form fillable character sheet?
